Ryan Hall hip injury

I'm so shocked when i read an article about the Unites States(U.S) Marathon and Half Marathon record holder,Ryan Hall will not run the New York City Marathon on 3rd November. This is because he has hip injury.

Ryan Hall

I believe that he wants to run but he may not finish within a target timing that he planned for it. Therefore, it is better for him to pull out and give himself a rest after just came back from high altitude training at Kenya. As a runner,we must always know our limitation and choose our races wisely to avoid injury. We can't avoid injury but we can reduce it. As a conclusion, good luck to those who will run New York City Marathon(NYCC) on next weekend.

Resting is part of training

On 29th September 2013,I ran Standard Chartered Kuala Lumpur Marathon(SCKLM) in full marathon Men's Open category. My aim for this event was to finish in 3 hours 10 minutes. However, I had experienced a cramp at Km27, but I still not give up and run slowly.  I was looking a SALONPAS spray to reduce my pain. Only after I passed two water station, I got it. After the spraying by a young lady which was volunteer, I forced myself to run approximately about 5min pace so that I can catch up.

At KM 32, I hit the wall. Both my leg exprienced severe cramp and I cant even stand. I was lying down on the route and luckily my friend, Karsten Korbel from Germany stop and helped me. He pushed my leg and asked me to let my muscle relax. I tried to relax but cant. After a few minutes, I told him to let me go and continue his run. A volunteer reached, gave me a spray. I sat on the roadside because I couldnt stand anyway. By looking at the watch, I told myself to just walk rather than take ambulance back to finishing line. At last I did 4hours 15minutes and 13seconds.

my timing and split.

4 days after the run, I started my recovery but sadly I finished my 3km by dragging my leg. The side effect of the severe cramp is still there. A lot of my friends advised me to take a rest. Hence, I decided to take a rest until it recovered and I gave up some of the running events to let my leg rest.

I put my shoes aside and rested about 2 weeks and half and now Im fully recovered. As conclusion, the best thing to cure our injury is to let our body rest. A runner or an athlete must always remember that resting is also part of training program. If we train 7 days a week,we might not achieve our target or improvement. Perhaps 6 days in a week of training, might help us because we give our body especially muscle to relax and replenish.

Secret Behind of a Banana

As we know most of the athlete will eat banana before, during or after race because it full of nutrients that they need. However, the most important is it can give instant energy for the athlete to continue their endurance. For example, almost every marathon event, the organizer will provide a banana for the runner after 21km to help the runners keep running until the finishing line.

Here is some information about the banana:-
  •  Energy - Supply proper carbohydrates necessary to replace the muscle glycogen(muscle sugar) used.
  •  Potassium -Help the body's circulatory system deliver oxygen to the brain, helping maintain regular heartbeat and proper water balance in.
  •  PMS - It contains B6. This vitamin regulates blood glucose levels and helps us in times of stress and helps to suppress cranky moods.
  •  Brain Power - Potassium-packed fruit helps learning because it makes the pupils more alert. Students find that they have more brain power and do better on exams when they eat bananas at breakfast and lunch.
  •  Iron - It can help individuals with anemia and help to stimulate production of hemoglobin in the blood.
  •  Help Smokers Quit - It contains B vitamins and other minerals that lessen the effects of nicotine withdrawal both physically and psychologically.
  •  Increase happiness - Bananas release a mood regulating substance called tryptophan which is converted to serotonin in the brain and thus elevates mood and makes us happier!
  •   Bowel Health - High in soluble fiber which helps stop constipation and helps to restore and maintain regulate bowel function.

2XU compression short review

Hi guys, how your run last weekend? Is it much better than before?Did you manage to get PB(personal best) in the run or DNF(did not finish)? But if u can run until the finishing line,u already one of winner of that competition.Actually,i wanna share with you all about my 2XU Elite Compression Tight.

I bought it last month from Key Power Malaysia at The Gardens with Rm 100 voucher. I wear it during my training and race since the first day i bought it. I feel really comfort and full with confidence suddenly when wearing it. The compression tight really compress all my quadriceps,so there will be less movement of my muscle during running. Hence,my muscle will not feel very fatigue during the run. It was proven when i run for my second Full Marathon at BSN Putrajaya Night Marathon 2012.

Besides that, some of my friends told me the compression tight also give u some ventilation at groin section. I did experiment for that. I compared it with the normal tight from night market which was about Rm 12. The result is the tight from night market dont allow the air to pass through the tight and u will feel very uncomfortable with it.As conclusion, this tight will also give you some ventilation.

Furthermore,2XU Compression Tight will lengthen the time for you to cramps during your Full Marathon. The tight will help your blood system to flow smoothly and faster. In the same time, it provides more oxygen to your leg and help you to run.
In a nutshell, this tight is really quite expensive but it really worth and can be used for all endurance games like running, cycling or playing sport.

Not running alone

I'm been busy working as the part timer waiter in wedding reception ceremony last weekend . As a full time student , this is how I generate side income to be use specially for any running event . Maybe it's sound tiring or boring , but for me this job is one of it kind . I can get almost RM50 every single day with sponsored two times meal . Thus I always get clean and clear pay . Cool huh ?

During working , especially before the event starts , all waiters and waitress have to prepare all the main stuff for the wedding and the cutleries for the catering .

Of course I have to lift up many heavy stuff like the row-tops , bastins , food-insert , and also the food ! This time I want to stress the safe way to lift up heavy things without damaging our body ourself .

Please use our legs & abdomatic muscle to bring up the stuff inside using our pity waist . Maybe we rather say :

Oh okay , my waist is tough enough !

Oh I got strong bones !

Well , enough said . But we are already damaging our waist bones at that time . Maybe not now , but in coming few years , we will feel it . The pain of an old man felt . Do we want to feel that pain in early age ? of course not right ?

Love your body . Everyday .
